Privacy Policy

MegaronHQ (“we”, “us”) operates the megaronhq.com website and the MegaronHQ app. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit megaronhq.com or use the MegaronHQ app at app.megaronhq.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions or requests: privacy@megaronhq.com.

This website (megaronhq.com)

The homepage uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. The interactive demo runs entirely in your browser with made-up businesses and numbers, and it does not send anything anywhere. Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) handles the network requests your browser makes to load the page.

The MegaronHQ app

The app is invite-only and is used by businesses to manage their stock, sales and related work. We collect:

• Account information: your name, email address, and sign-in details. Passwords are stored only in hashed form. If you use a passkey or two-step verification, we store what is needed to check them.
• Sign-in activity: sign-ins, sign-outs and other account security events, with the IP address and browser they came from, so you and we can spot unusual access.
• Business data you enter or connect: products, stock counts, locations, sales, costs, expenses, mileage and similar records your business keeps in MegaronHQ.
• Connected sales channels: when a business connects Shopify or eBay, we store the access needed to work with that store, plus its products, stock levels and orders. We do not store buyers’ names or addresses from Shopify or eBay orders. For eBay we keep the business’s eBay seller name.
• Client contacts: businesses using the Clients board may enter their own customers’ contact details (such as name, company, email, phone and address) and notes about their requests. That information belongs to the business that entered it; we store and process it on that business’s behalf.
• Usage analytics: which pages are opened and which actions are finished (for example “a count was saved”). This never includes product names, SKUs, prices, customer details, anything you type, or your IP address, and people and businesses appear as random codes. A business owner can turn this off in Settings → Privacy.

Camera

On phones and tablets the app can use your camera to read barcodes, only after your browser asks your permission. Barcodes are read on your device; no photo or video is recorded, saved or sent.

Cookies

The app uses cookies only to keep you signed in and to remember which business you are working in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

How we use information

• To run the app: sign you in, show and update your business’s records, and keep connected sales channels in step.
• To send emails you need, such as sign-in links, invitations, alerts and reports.
• To keep accounts and data secure and to fix problems.
• To understand which features help (usage analytics, if on).

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the services that run MegaronHQ for us, and only as needed for them to do that work:

• Google Cloud (app hosting and backups)
• Neon (database)
• Cloudflare (website hosting and domain)
• Resend (sending email)
• Shopify and eBay, when a business chooses to connect them

We may also disclose information if required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep business records while the business uses MegaronHQ. Items deleted in the app are hidden rather than erased right away, so mistakes can be undone. Nightly backups are kept for 30 days. Sales records may need to be kept longer for tax purposes. To have your account or your business’s data deleted, email privacy@megaronhq.com.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal information by emailing privacy@megaronhq.com. If your information was entered by a business that uses MegaronHQ (for example as one of its clients), please contact that business first; we will help them respond.

Security

Connections to MegaronHQ are encrypted, each business’s data is kept separate from every other business, and accounts can use passkeys and two-step verification. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

MegaronHQ is a business tool and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
